General Settings

Use the General Settings page to alter the universal content for your site. The information you can alter includes:
  • Site name - This is the name of your site which will be displayed at the foot of each page and in the title bar of the browser (the strip at the very top of every page), If you have do not have logos enabled the site name will also be shown at the head of each page.
  • Default page title - This is the page title which will be used if none is specified for the page in question.
  • Menu head text - this piece of text will be shown at the top of your site menu (this option only applies to certain templates.
  • Footer text - This piece of text will be shown at the bottom of every page.
  • Meta description - This description will be used by search engines to list your website.
  • Keywords - These words will be used by search engines when indexing your site. Words should be comma seperated and ranked from most to least relevant. Phrases should be enclosed in speech marks. Try to think of words and phrases people might type into a search engine while looking for a site like yours.
